If you are a regular user of Microsoft’s Windows operating system, then you have undoubtedly been greeted with this popup:

In accordance with Murphy’s Law, this usually appears in the middle of some important bit of work that cannot be interrupted by a system restart. But Windows is known for annoying restarts, so what more should I expect? Ok, no problem, I’ll switch to Mac. After all, you never have to restart a Mac. But wait, what’s this?

Now that I use OSX Lion (10.7.2), I see this popup at least once a week right in the middle of doing something important. At least Microsoft introduced Patch Tuesday to limit the updates to once a month.
